This week I am getting ready to present my progress. A lot of my time spent working on this project revolved around getting the presentation ready. I went back to my GDD Files and reused a lot of the assets that I had used on my pitch last semester. This allowed me to focus on other parts of the presentation such as what I would be saying. It also created a sort of house style. I think there may be ways to reuse some of the assets that I have already made for this project, in the development itself.

Another Brick in The Wall
In terms of work on the project, This week, I spent most of my time working on the Rockwall spell to give it some oomf and generally improve its presentation.

I started work on the Combinations, the first of which is the Steam Explosion. A big part of the Steam Explosion is that it knocks back the enemy. I already wanted to be able to launch enemies with the defensive items, so I started building them together. I'm trying to keep all of my systems from getting too wiry.
Im using simulate physics to launch the characters, who are currently little more than cubes, into the air. It is probably the best fun you can have with my game so far.
Feedback

While getting ready to present, I thought it would be good to get some playtesting done. I have not been able to follow my schedule with playtesting, and other than some informal messing with classmates, I have not performed any significant playtesting.
I did create a google form that would give me at least a baseline on how the game was going. Unfortunately, I did not make time to get any responses through this form.
This week in Review
This week has very much been focused on coming to the halfway mark in the project. I am not thrilled about the position that I'm in. I'm not nervous about the presentation itself. More nervous about my progress so far.
In my work on my presentation, I looked back over my plan and set a new one down, that focused on a solitary level, plus the Hub World. Going forward the plan is to focus on just getting that done.
